About

This site is a loosely held together as an online scrapbook of text and images. Some, but not all, are connected in some way, shape or form to ideas of location, identity, history and heritage. Please enjoy!

I’ve lived in various parts of the UK and also in Greece so a lot of my material references these places and I’m currently studying Scottish environmental history, which may make the odd appearance. If you feel there’s something you’d like to contribute (as my late friend Simon did), feel free to contact me and we’ll see what we can do between us.

I am a founding member of Apo Typomata Arts -you can see more about Apo Typomata at www.apotypomata.com. You can also have a butcher’s at my photos on redbubble. I have also written for The Common, a magazine based in Amherst, Massachusets in the USA which is cram packed full of material about “place” and can be viewed by following the links on the right.

All images and text copyright Ian MacLellan unless otherwise stated.
